Camera Raw Edits

1/26/2011 Rexburg Temple
Aperture 1/40  F-stop 2.7 Sony DSC-H50
The sky was just perfect for once and I had to have a picture of the temple with that sunset and the lights on.  This photo actually has just a lot of colors pumped up and some contrast and a vignette on it. The original is actually really pretty much the same I just enriched the colors.

1/26/2011 Spori Building
Aperture 1/40  F-stop 2.8 Sony DSC-H50

I liked the picture that was shown in class and i have always loved this building. I put a lot of contrasts and added in some color saturations along with a few other things and of course i have a slight black vignette on the picture.

Photo edits

 Provo Canyon Tunnel 1/17/2011
Aperture 1/125  F-stop 7.1
Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT
On this photo I first opened the image as a smart object then added a levels adjustment layer. Then I made sure I was selected on the free mask and masked out the darkning I added from the inside of the tunnel using the paint brush tool. After that I added a slight blur to the inside of the tunnel.
Window in BYU Provo testing center 1/15/2011
Aperture 1/200  F-stop 9
Canon EOS Digital Reble XT
On this photo I opened the image and added a levels adjustment layer. I lightned the entire photo so it wasnt as dark but I liked the darkeness of the sky throught the window so I used my free mask and the paint brush tool to erase the darkening from around the inside of the window and the sky thorugh it.

Flora and Fauna

Orchid in BYU Provo greenhouse 1/15/2011
Aperture 1/100   F-stop 8
Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT
Bird in Benson building Greenhouse 1/24/2011
Aperture 1/200  F-stop 3.5
Canon Power Shot SD 100 IS

Orchids by fountain in Benson building 1/24/2011
Aperture 1/50  F-stop 2.8
Canon Power Shot SD 1100 IS

I discovered the bird in the Benson my first semester here when I had church in that building. I absolutely love orchids and i just happened to find two really good shots of two different colored orchids. I like the angle on the pink orchids because I was trying to get the fountain in the background so it give it something a little different.

Color study

Porter Park 1/14/2011
Aperture 1/320  Fstop 5.6
This was one of my deep depth of field pictures because the blue pole along with everything else is in focus. Seeing as how I love to play at the park so I though the picture was appropriate.

Christmas light at my apartment 1/14/2011
Aperture 1/100 Fstop 5.6
This is a shallow depth picture that was taken on the railing of my apartment complex. I have always loved Christmas lights and i noticed they were still up the other day so I took advantage of the opportunity.

Greenhouse at BYU Provo 1/15/2011
Aperture 1/60  Fstop 5.0
This shallow depth of field picture was taken in the BYU Provo greenhouse while I was visiting a friend this past weekend. I throughly enjoy looking at all the unique plants in a greenhouse.

Tractor 1/14/2011
Aperture 1/100  Fstop 5.6
This is my second deep depth of filed picture because the tire and the rest of the picture is all in focus. I got down close to the tire to achieve this view. I found this tractor when I went to go get gas at Chevron.

My color study was green if you haven't already discovered that already. Green is my favorite color and I was stubborn enough to stick with my color choice even after I discovered most of the green things around school were blanketed in snow. However I think I got some good finds in my determination for green.
